The month of happiness

September 2011, will it be a month of happiness or another boring month to pass through? Well for me, every month will be very excited because there is always something special, so special that excites me to look forward to. Like this month alone, friends gatherings, special one will be in town & i finally got the long maxi skirt (picture attached) that I love from online shopping (OMG, I am addicted to online shopping) and I am back to the 80's vintage style. See how gorgeous it's but of course I didn't get the one by Top Shop but the cutting, the material, the look & the colour, oh I am so in love!!

The long maxi skirt by Top Shop in yellow colour as reference

And another thing to look forward to, my new OPI nail polish. They came out with "America Touring" & Glam Slam England by Serena. I am getting the "Suzi Takes Wheel" (gray greenish colour) with the set of Glam Slam England Duo Your Royal Shineness. Gorgeous, gorgeous colours!

Bag Fetish - Christian Dior

I can’t remember the last time I was excited for a Dior bag collection, but ladies (and gents), I find myself keep staring and drooling over it.

I was looking at the Spring 2011's Collection & Spring 2011′s bags mark a return to sophisticated and spirit that had been lacking lately, and Galliano managed to put even the unchanged leather Lady Dior bags in a new context with this florid, tropical collection.

I am falling in love! Falling way too deep with the collection! The gorgeous design that will never go out of style, classy with Dior elegant touch, what a perfect way to spend your money on those bags :)

Holiday Raya and The City

Holiday Raya is a magical time in Jakarta and I am in love with it - the quiet hallway around my neighborhood, the moslem-clothing season, the special sweets dessert which you will only find it during this period and a slow yet challenging time in the office. Best of all, the full week of a non-sense holiday to spend with nobody but myself.

I have been spending my 11 years in this city that never sleeps & amazingly, during this time of holiday, I will never step my feet out as come on guys, JAKARTA WITH NO TRAFFIC JAM?! Isn't that perfect?

Jakarta, you are the city where I stumble upon during 2000 & it's a love at the first sight till I lost my way around the area of Pasar Pramuka. I know, I know but it was a fun time with little sister because we finally understand how to read map!

A lot of experiences that makes me who I am today - people who matter in my life, places I go to, food that I eat, music that I enjoy, weather that I hate but most of all the ups & downs that I treasure that I will never ever trade with anything at all.

So people, enjoy your long holiday wherever you go & spend it with but for those people who will spend the holiday here in Jakarta, *high five*, let's rock Jakarta by shouting I LOVE YOU!

To another paradise

Twenty eight years had gone in a blink of eye. What I have learnt: Trust, Dignity & Pain.

My life has been so wonderful. Being in a normal life & happy for myself is what I want to achieve from now on. Sad & happy occasions happened but I realized that makes me a better person, what so call a grown-up young woman.

I thank Him for loving me still, I thank Him for sending me great family, I thank Him for guarding me with angels, I thank Him for giving me chances to have best friends for life, I thank Him for the life I have and most important thing - I thank Him for him, the one & only person who wants me for what I am, who loves me endlessly, who cares for me with no agenda, who needs me all the time. We both know the truth but we fight for it every single day and we don't know where does it lead us.

When I said life is unfair, well, that is life. Like it or not, we need to face it. We don't know about the future but let's be happy & smile for it. Life is beautiful as it is & you are beautiful too. Yes, you are!

Negative Vibes

Sometimes we get a negative vibe from the moment we enter a situation. We don't know why. We can't pinpoint a reason. We don't have any facts. And nothing bad has actually happened. Yet. Still, our "spidey senses" are tingling.

What do we do with those negative vibes? Has our subconscious mind picked up on something our conscious mind hasn't processed yet? Or is our overly-suspicious mind working overtime again? So which one is it?

A reasonable person might approach the situation with a little more caution. Gather the facts, analyze them, and draw a conclusion. If something looks hinky, then remain cautious. But if everything looks OK, stand down from yellow alert.

But what do we actually do?

In my experience, when a woman says "it's woman's intuition," or a guy says it is his "gut feeling," it usually that they've already made up their mind. How can we argue with that?

That's not intuition. We're not using it to help sort out the truth. We don't need any facts because we already "know" the truth. We assume that what we are feeling is the truth.

And then we wonder why we can't be happy.

Letting go

To let go isn't to forget, not think about, or ignore. It doesn't leave feelings of anger, jealousy, or regret. Letting go isn't winning and it isn't losing. It's not about pride and it's not about how you appear, and its not obsessing or dwelling on the past. Letting go isn't blocking memories or thinking sad thoughts, and doesn't leave emptiness, hurt or sadness. It's not giving in or giving up. Letting go isn't about loss and it's not defeat.

To let go is to cherish memories, but to overcome and to move on. It is having an open mind and confidence in the future. Letting go is accepting. It is learning and experiencing and growing. To let go is to be thankful for the experiences that made you laugh, made you cry and made you grow. It's about all that you have, all that you had and all that you will soon gain. Letting go is having the courage to accept change, and the strength to keep moving. Letting go is growing up. It is realizing that the heart can sometimes be the most potent remedy. To let go is to open a door and to clear a path and to set yourself free.

Friendship

Beautiful Sunday to start the day off with but another new conflict arise to ruin my Sunday with friends. I couldn't help but wonder, is the jealousy so obvious? Or is it just the broken friendship after all these times to make us being so sensitive and defensive with each other? I seriously hate it. Either you tell me straight to my face so you may stop jerk around or we may STOP being friend to each other.

I pity the relationship we built for so long just shattered like a broken vase. Or maybe it's the step about changing your new way of life. You are changing & you don't get to blame it to me.

I am pissed with reality when I am single but I am still feel thankful because I have you in my life. But as for now, what do I have?

Let me be clear once & for all, I do admit I feel jealous but it's NOT because you are so success in your life or you have more money that I have but it's because you chose others than me. Before you used to be with me & talked to me but now, look at us! I feel jealous, so jealous that sometimes I hate myself for being like this. Anyway, maybe they suit your needs & your happy life now.

Just like the quote says: It's one thing when I am mad at you... but when I don't even care about you anymore or your problem, you are pretty much dead to me!

The facts about WOMEN :)

They said:

1) Women love to shop. It is the one area of the world where they feel like they're actually in control.

2) Women especially love a bargain. The question of "need" is irrelevant, so don't bother pointing it out. Anything on sale is fair game.

3) Women never have anything to wear. Don't question the racks of clothes in the closet; you "just don't understand".

4) Women need to cry. And they won't do it alone unless they know you can hear them.

5) Women will always ask questions that have no right answer, in an effort to trap you into feeling guilty.

6) Women love to talk. Silence intimidates them and they feel a need to fill it, even if they have nothing to say.

7) Women hate bugs. Even the strong-willed ones need a man around when there's a spider or a wasp involved.

8) Women can't keep secrets. They eat away at them from the inside. And they don't view it as being untrustworthy, providing they only tell two or three people.

9) Women always go to public restrooms in groups. It gives them a chance to gossip.

10) If a man goes on a seven-day trip, he'll pack five days worth of clothes and will wear some things twice; if a woman goes on a seven-day trip she'll pack 21 outfits because she doesn't know what she'll feel like wearing each day.

11) Women brush their hair before bed.

12) Women are paid less than men, except for one field: Modeling.

13) Women are never wrong. Apologizing is the man's responsibility, "It's there in the Bible".

14) The average number of items in a typical woman's bathroom is 437. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

15) Women love cats. Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

16) Women love to talk on the phone. A woman can visit her girlfriend for two weeks, and upon returning home, she will call the same friend and they will talk for three hours.

17) A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, or get the mail.

18) Women do NOT want an honest answer to the question, 'How do I look?'

19) Women will make three right-hand turns to avoid making one left-hand turn.

20) "Oh, nothing," has an entirely different meaning in woman- language than it does in man- language.

21) Women cannot use a map without turning the map to correspond to the direction that they are heading.

22) If it is not Valentines day and you see a man in a flower shop, you can probably start up a conversation by asking, "What did you do?"

23) Women don't really care about a sense of humor in a guy despite claims to the contrary. You don't see women trampling over Tom Cruise to get to Gilbert Gottfried, do you?

24) It's okay for women to kiss each other and not be gay.

25) Women will spend hours dressing up to go out, and then they'll go out and spend more time checking out other women. Men can never catch women checking out other men; women will always catch men checking out other women.

26) The most embarrassing thing for women is to find another woman wearing the same dress at a formal party.

The love for food!

I couldn't help but wonder my love for FOOD, after my nails thou' :)

Last few weeks, I tried the newest (very very happening now) restaurant in Plaza Senayan, Paradise Dynasty. I was so exciting about the 8 colours of Xiao Long Bao (picture attached). When I suggested that restaurant & mentioned about the special menu, we agreed to try. We ordered the famous Xiao Long Bao (of course), fried bak-kuat La Mien, Shanghai fried rice, traditional chinese bamboo shoot & for the dessert we tried the chinese red bean pancake. It is not that perfect as I hope it will be but at least I tried.

There are still several new restaurants (well, it's NOT really that new anymore. I know, me LAME!) like Ocha Bella, Luna Negra, etc that I haven't try but I ptromise I will in anytime soon.

The pictures of the food that I took during my lunch at Paradise Dynasty:

The Saturday date with family

Here I am being single after all these years and spending my quality Saturday with family. Having my heart broken again & again makes me realized a precious thing I have in my life, my family & my AASH. Well, since my AASH is NOT always available for me, then family is now my priority number 1 :)

I can say that I am a very lucky girl to have a younger sister who loves me endlessly, an aunt who will always lend a hand whenever I am in trouble, cousins who are nice & lovable.

Well, my Saturday plan was not that perfect but at the end, we enjoyed our dinner & time together.
